Book Review:
I give this book 4 owls. Although decodable books aren't very interesting or enticing for adult readers, when you consider the purpose and audience meant for decodable texts, this book is effective. The pictures are simple but can get young readers attention and the size and positioning of font is appropriate as well. The amount of words on each page is minimal which can help keep readers attention and focus. I like the questions at the end of the story because they encourage readers to think further and helps with comprehension as well. The vocabulary is appropriate and these types of books can definitely be used in and out of the classroom to help beginning readers become better readers.
